Next week the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission will be holding a public hearing to discuss Oklahoma's first ever residential building code. The hearing will be held at the Francis Tuttle Technology Center on March 15 beginning at 10:00 am.

It is important for anyone interested on hearing opinions and or wanting to testify as to aspects of the code to be present. They will be finalizing the code to present to the legislature and some of the items will include residential fire sprinklers,

arc-fault circuit interrupters and tamper resistant electric receptacles. There are a few other items that will also have Oklahoma specific amendments.

If you cannot attend, please be sure to send your comments to us and we will forward them to the commission.
