Coffee-fueled excitement buzzed -- or maybe it was office dog Ginger "purring" -- as Green Building Summit planners met one steamy Friday morning to manage final details. Serious discussion about making sure sessions are challenging enough for participants regularly gave way to good-natured banter, as often as not stemming from our Enid contingent!

The Summit, now in its fourth year, has expanded and become more specific at the same time with four distinct tracks designed for different groups of building-industry professionals: Builders; HVAC and Codes folks; Commercial Builders; and Realtors. Learn more about this year's exciting event and register at http://www.okgreenbuildingsummit.com/. Registration is an economical $50 per person, which includes lunch.

Organizers Oklahoma State Home Builders Association, Guaranteed Watt Saver Systems, OKMAR and Association of Energy Engineers/OKC Chapter has had all hands on deck to work through the Summit deals.

Justin Wilson is based in Colorado Springs and will lead most of the Builders track. Wilson, founder and president of Building Performance Solutions, is a leader in research and development of environmental initiatives for the construction industry. Working with developers, builders, green programs and municipalities, Justin has helped set the criteria for excellence in building materials and technologies for the building industry. He presents, in over 100 cities a year, to architects, engineers, builders, educators and trade partners on high performance green construction practices.

He will co-present with Jeff Seeliger, with Dolese, and Kelly Parker of GWS. Brad Ballard,

Director of ONG's Compressed Natural Gas Division, will round out the track with his presentation entitled "High Performance Construction." His final session is "Field Solutions to Problem Homes."
