The Avid Gold Award is part of the 11th annual Avid Awards presented to home builders throughout the United States and Canada by Avid ratings. Award recipients were chosen from a record number of 747 qualifying builders, making it the largest assessment of home buyer satisfaction in North America this year.

Winner of "Avid Cup" recognition as the leading home builder nationwide was Pardee Homes - Inland Empire California Division. Pardee Homes also won the "Avid Diamond" honor, which recognizes the top builder nationwide based on the Avid survey.

Home-building companies included in this year's results represent approximately 20 percent of the largest publicly traded NYSE/NASDAQ builders, 34 percent of North America's largest private builders, and hundreds of small-volume and custom builders from coast to coast.

Homeowners who purchased new homes in 2013 were surveyed to determine the winners of the 2014 award. A total of 27 U.S. and Canadian home builders received awards across 20 separate categories this year.
