The Oklahoma Building Summit 2013 is three months away. But the way time moves these days, Sept. 18 will be here next week!ok_building_summit_large
OSHBA is working to make sure the Summit meets the needs and expectations of its members.

The Summit is our premier training event and this year's training will focus on 2009 IRC compliance. Each of the four tracks was developed around a trade discipline and will address the relative areas in the IRC. Attendees will learn about those codes, how to build to comply with them, and how to have a successful inspection.

One of the tracks is Incentives, Compliance and the HERS Connection, and will be led by Kelly Parker. He will cover the Oklahoma building codes and how to find them. Do you know what the ARRA requirements really mean for your business? You will if you attend Kelly's track.

The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) index is the industry standard by which a home's energy efficiency is measured. It's also the nationally recognized system for inspecting and calculating a home's energy performance. Should you have a HERS rating? If so, how do you get one? Everything you ever needed or wanted to know about HERS will be covered.

Incentives - cash, credits, deductions - are available to Oklahoma builders. Learn how your company can qualify to receive them.

IRC has codes that apply to HVAC, insulation and air barrier. Kelly will cover these areas to help you build to those codes and make your houses energy efficient and rejection free!

Plan now to attend the Summit. The tornado cleanup and rebuilding goes on, and I know everyone is busy. But what you learn at this training event is critical to the continued success of your business. See you Sept. 19. Register today by clicking here.
