OK, so what do you need to know about the status of legislation still alive at the state capitol? This is the time of session that many call the "silly season." That's because if a bill's language is not agreed upon by the House and Senate, it goes to conference. (As an aside, this is the way things work in Washington virtually all the time!) Once in conference anything can happen. Language is worked out and then it goes back to the House and Senate in a non-amendable format. It then receives an up or down vote.

The one bill I am watching pretty closely right now is HB 2620. This is the bill proposed by the Realtors dealing with property registration. The authors are currently working on language to be presented. We will see what comes forward.

In the meantime, let me know if there are any questions.
