The Oklahoma State Home Builders Association and the Builders Association of South Central Oklahoma recently presented Moore Norman Technology Center with $2,100 to be used toward scholarships for students enrolled in a construction trades class.

The Oklahoma State Home Builders Association awarded a $2,200 check to the MNTC electrical and automated
Industrial systems trades department, with a portion coming from the Builders Association of South Central Oklahoma.

OSHBA Associates Council representative Donna Cullins presented the donation to MNTC administrators and instructors last week. Also present was President David Caddell of BASCO.
The scholarship recipients can be from MNTC classes such as: Computer Aided Design & Drafting, Electrical & Automated Industrial Systems, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or Carpentry.
Recipients are selected by a committee of construction-related trades instructors and the administrator of scholarships for MNTC. Those who earn the scholarships must be making satisfactory progress toward graduation and also need financial support to attain this goal. The funds are to help with tuition, books, or financial hardships in order to allow good-standing students to complete their program.
