Next Monday will be the beginning of the 2013 Legislative Session. As a service to you, we monitor all legislative proposals and advocate on those that affect the homebuilding industry.
We have a tool for our members, called voterVOICE, that you can subscribe to. It enables you (the reader) to connect to your legislator (whether you know who they are or not). Quite simply, it is a very effective tool to let your legislator know your position on issues affecting your bottom line. Contact us here at the State Association and we will get you started.
We send out a weekly update. This keeps you informed on issues as they progress through the legislative process.
We will also, from time to time, send out ALERTS. When you receive an alert we ask that you take a moment of your time to just click and respond and let your legislator know that this is a critical vote for the homebuilding industry.
Again, a simple but effective way to help our industry.
Members also receive a list of the bills we are tracking to begin the session. (The bad news - lots to read.) As the session progresses and deadlines come and go, you will see the list shrink. (That's the good news!)
