The Associates Council of the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association funded a $1,000 scholarship to construction trades programs at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee. With Marty Lewis, program superintendent, right, is Steve Sullivan, vice president of the Associates Council, which funded $19,200 total to technology centers across the state.

At right is Jeff Clark, construction teacher, with Steve Sullivan, vice president of the Associates Council, which funded $19,200 total to technology centers across the state. With them are the construction students.

Builder Association of South Central Oklahoma donated $500 to Mid-America Technology Center in Wayne, south of Purcell.With BASCO president Dusty Johnston are, from left, residential carpentry students Jonathon Dawley, a junior at Lexington High School, and Shane Brigger, a junior at Stratford High School. Mid-America Technology Center is a career and technology school serving 18 area high schools in an eight-county area in south central Oklahoma. MATC currently offers 24 full-time career majors for high school and adult students.
