Oklahoma Natural Gas is a title sponsor of this year's Oklahoma Green Building Summit Sept. 27-28 (www.okgreenbuildingsummit.com). We plan to have information available at the summit about changes in our One in Energy New Home Program and the rollout of our new rebate program, instituted Sept. 15th.

The ONE In Energy New Home Program is a home builder program designed to help protect the environment, reduce energy bills and improve comfort through energy-efficient products and practices. A rebate of $750 is available for new construction homes using energy efficient guidelines outlined by Oklahoma Natural Gas. To be

eligible for our program, the home must have three natural-gas appliances, including natural-gas heating and natural-gas hot water, as well as an additional outlet. The home must achieve a HERS rating of 70 or below to qualify for the rebate.

We have rolled out additional rebate programs designed to encourage the use of natural gas in homes. We will have a water-heater program with a rebate for up to $850; a home-heating program with a rebate of up to $1,950; and a gas-dryer program for up to a $680 rebate. More information on these programs are available at
