In just a couple of weeks, we'll all be at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas, for our annual convention - a time of fun, food, fellowship, and education.
The schedule is set, you've registered and made your hotel reservations, and the auction items are being assembled.
What's in store for you? Go to https://www.okhba.org/html/calendar.php for the complete schedule.
It all starts Thursday afternoon and goes through to Saturday. There's the Welcome Reception, the Table Top/Silent Auction, the kids pizza party, President's Council Breakfast, and Board of Directors Luncheon/Meeting.

There are some great educational offerings. First up, Professional Warranty Corp. will introduce and explain extended warranties. We kick off Friday morning with Paul Conrady and CrimeSeen, his new crime-solving social network (http://www.crimeseen.com/) where users post and respond to criminal activity in their area while assisting law enforcement.
Kevin McLain with DOW (and the HBA of Fort Worth) will share some energy-efficiency research results. Just before lunch, engineers from MLAW will present information on soil investigation and site-specific foundation design.
Dave Mitchell of the Leadership Difference (http://www.theleadershipdifference.com/) is our keynote speaker beginning at noon on Friday. Dave will help us learn about "The Power to Understanding People." He is a great speaker and all the builders and associates will want to hear what he has to share with us.
The experts from ClimateMaster will finish up the classes with the latest geothermal technology for HVAC.
If you are a Certified Professional Builder, remember you will get your whole year's worth of continuing education by attending these classes.
Thanks to OG&E and ONG for once again being our title sponsors for this important learning and networking event. We couldn't do it without you!
If you haven't registered, go to https://www.okhba.org/html/summer_convention.php?id=47. The registration fee is $309 for you and your spouse. If you still need to reserve a room, call the Gaylord Texan at 866-782-7897 or use this link for some hotels close by. If you have some items for auction, call Jan Conway at (405) 650-8645.
This is a great event for our members, and I hope a lot of you will take advantage of the opportunity. I look forward to seeing you all, July 18-20!
