Brandon Perkins of Tulsa, immediate past president of the OSHBA board, was named "Builder of the Year" during the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association annual banquet, held Saturday at Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association conference center.
Immediate past president of the Associates Council, Terry Jennings of Oklahoma Rainmaster, was named "Associate of the Year."
Jeff Click of Edmond accepted the presidency of the 2,400-member organization. His executive council includes Past President Perkins of Brandon Perkins Development of Tulsa; vice president/treasurer Todd Booze of Ideal Homes in Norman, and new-to-the-board, vice president/secretary Phil Rhees, BMI Properties in Tulsa.
Rhees was awarded state "Builder of the Year" in 2010 and has been involved in local, state and national association work. He is a Certified Graduate Builder and Certified Green Professional, both national designations. Rhees is the voice on the executive committee of the National Association of Home Builders for the state association, keeping the state membership informed about national issues.
Donna Cullins of Preferred Plans Inc. in Norman rounds out the executive team as the chair of the Associates Council. The Associates Council is the right arm of the OSHBA, representing businesses that support the home building industry.

Serving with Cullins on the Associates Council are Vice Chair Gina Cox, Stewart Abstract & Title; Treasurer Vanessa Shadix, Old Republic Title, and joining the council, Secretary Steve Sullivan, OG&E, and past chair Terry Jennings.
Sullivan has been with OG&E 34 years in various positions. Since 1996, he has been a key building sciences resource working on residential energy efficient projects including certifying energy efficient homes built within OG&E's Positive Energy Programs. He has been an active member and advocate of the state's home-building industry.
Before being elected to the leadership of the state association, Click served as the 2009 president of Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association. He was awarded the 2009 COHBA "Builder of the Year" award.
One of the youngest independent builders in Oklahoma, the 37-year-old was selected 2010 "Forty Under 40" by OKCBiz and was ranked among Inc. magazine's "Inc. 5000" fastest growing companies.
Click is a Certified Professional Builder, among just more than 150 builders statewide.
The Certified Builder program ensures the consumers' interests are protected in a state that does not require licensing of builders. That means the homebuilder carries general liability and workers compensation insurance and has taken the required continuing education classes, among other stringent requirements.
Jeff and his wife, Deziray, have two daughters and live in Edmond.
Click takes over the gavel from Perkins. Perkins is the first Oklahoman to receive the Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Home Builders. He is active with both the Oklahoma and National Home Builders Associations and is past president of Home BuildersAssociation of Greater Tulsa.
Also, he has been a member of the National Arbor Day Foundation since1996 and he has donated more than 1,000 blue spruce trees to be planted around the Tulsa metro area.
Terry Jennings of Oklahoma Rainmaster was awarded Associate of the Year. He has devoted 14 plus years in service to the state's homebuilder groups. He has served on numerous committees including the Home & Garden, membership and others of Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association. He has been a generous sponsor of OSHBA activities that support the industry.
The Oklahoma State Home Builders Association is a not-for-profit, professional trade organization that advocates for the state's housing industry and serves some 2,400 members. The association is a corporate channel through which builders contribute time, money and services to lead community service projects and education initiatives.
Members include builders, remodelers, suppliers, manufacturers, architects, engineers, real estate brokers, lenders, attorneys and other industry professionals.
