As lead technical sales consultant for OG&E, Steve Sullivan's expertise is building science for energy efficient housing. But as a member of the OSHBA's Associates Council, he has demonstrated a different type of expertise.

Sullivan is a long-time supporter of the OSHBA's educational and member programs, and was named the 2014 "Associate of the Year" as selected by his peers of the 2,400-member organization.

Terry Jennings, the 2012 Associate honoree, made the presentation at the OSHBA annual banquet Jan. 10.

"Steve and OG&E sponsor many state and local events, education programs, the Building Summit, golf tournaments, summer conventions " Jennings said. "I could go on and on."

Sullivan also serves as vice chair of the Associates Council for 2014.

Steve has been with OG&E 34 years in various positions. Since 1996, he has been a key building sciences resource working on residential energy efficient projects including certifying energy efficient homes built within OG&E's Positive Energy Programs. He currently works primarily with developers and builders managing OG&E builder and developer programs.

In addition he also works with building trade contractors and home energy raters helping builders receive certifications for improved energy efficiencies as well as superior building science practices.

Steve has been recognized with awards from the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association for Rookie Spike of the Year in 2008, 2012 Associate of the Year and "Web Based Energy Management" from the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies (AEIC). Steve serves on the COHBA and OSHBA board of directors, is a NAHB Lifetime Spike, and is a member of IGSHPA, COHBA, EHBA, OSHBA, NAHB, SHBA, SOBA, RESNET and is a certified Home Energy Rater (HERS).
