You know what they say about lifetime learning: Education never stops. That's especially true for builders who want to stay current on the latest construction techniques and what's ahead for the industry.

The 2014 Oklahoma Building Summit on Sept. 11 at the Reed Center in Midwest City will offer plenty of continuing education opportunities.Tracks include a keynote section by Scott Sedam on LEAN construction methods, two sessions on Applied Framing, two on Energy Efficiency, two on Soil/Foundations and Earthquakes, and a session on Using the New State Contracts section of the OSHBA website.

I urge you to visit the Building Summit website and consider the educational possibilities. When the Summit concludes, I hope every builder in Oklahoma will be building better, building smarter.
